Maiori

 

Situato sul Golfo di Salerno, a metà strada tra Amalfi e Salerno, Maiori è un piccolo e caratteristico centro situato sulla Costiera amalfitana.


Maiori ha molti monumenti di interesse storico e artistico: tra essi il Palazzo Mezzacapo, la Collegiata di S.Maria a Mare che prende il suo nome dalla Statua che nel 1204 venne trovata sulla spiaggia, il Castello di S.Nicola de Thoro-Plano, il Complesso monastico di S.Maria Olearia.


La principale festività di Maiori è la "festa patronale di Santa Maria a Mare", che coincide con il giorno di Ferragostoe che si conclude, a mezzanotte, con un gradioso  spettacolo di fuochi d'artificio.



Minori

Città del Gusto ma, soprattutto, città di mare, Minori è accoccolata ai piedi dei monti Lattari. Secondo la tradizione, qui sarebbe nata la pasta. Gli ingredienti ci sono tutti: il sole, il giusto tasso di umidità per l'asciugatura dell'impasto e un sapiente quanto abile uso della manualità, tramandata di generazione in generazione. Tradizionali sono anche la coltura dei limoni a terrazzamenti, che forniscono la materia prima per il delizioso Limoncello della Costa d'Amalfi, e la lavorazione della carta (si conservano ancora oggi le antiche cartiere).

 

Minori è ricchissima di monumenti, in primis naturalmente quelli religiosi come la Basilica di Santa Trofimena.

Minori è famosa anche per un imponente insediamento di epoca imperiale che attrae annualmente migliaia di visitatori: i resti della Villa Marittima Romana, risalente al I secolo d.C.


Prima di lasciare Minori, concedetivi un giro per le sue pasticcerie. Tante e famose sono le specialità dolciarie create dai maestri artigiani del posto. Tra tutte, in particolare, si distinguono le leccornie a base di limone, come: la Torta Delizia, la Profitterolle, i Bocconcini di Babà al Limoncello, il Tiramisù al Limone.

Minori



A City of Taste and, above all, a seaside town, Minori is nestled at the foot of the mountains Lattari. According to tradition, here it would be born the pasta. The ingredients there are all: the sun, the right level of humidity for drying the mixture and a wise and skillful use of the manuality, handed down from generation to generation. There is also the traditional cultivation of lemons in terraces, which provide the raw material for the delicious Limoncello of the Amalfi Coast.

 

 

Minor is rich in monuments, first and foremost of course the religious ones such as the Basilica of Santa Trofimena.Minor is also famous for a massive settlement of the imperial era, which attracts thousands of visitors annually: the remains of the Roman Maritime Villa, dating from the first century AD

 

 

Before leaving Minor, take a ride for its bakeries. So many and famous are the sweet specialties created by master craftsmen. Among all, in particular, stand out the treats made ​​with lemon, such as: Cake Delight, the Profitterolle, the morsels of Baba with Limoncello, the Tiramisu Lemon.
